The University of Kansas announced a groundbreaking partnership with Oak View Group to manage stadium operations and food services across multiple campus venues, replacing previous concessionaire Sodexo Live!
Scope of the Partnership
OVG will manage food and beverage services and suite catering for all Kansas Athletics venues, including:
- David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium (when the reimagined Gateway District opens)
- Allen Fieldhouse (as part of current upgrades)
- A new membership-only dining club in the stadium’s club levels
The company will also oversee day-to-day operations of the football stadium and conference center, lead bookings for special events and concerts, and manage hospitality at the world-famous Allen Fieldhouse.
The Gateway District
Phase I of the Gateway District is set to open in August 2025, bringing a transformed stadium experience to Lawrence. OVG won the business after responding to a university proposal and will play an integral role in elevating the game day experience.
