We are hiring full-time and part-time Dishwashers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Dishwashing is one of the least glamorous stadium jobs and one of the most important. A premium kitchen or concession prep area cannot keep moving without clean pans, sheet trays, utensils, cutting boards, and serviceware.
This role is a good entry point for people who want stadium work but do not yet have front-of-house experience. It is physical, repetitive, and time-sensitive, especially during large events when kitchens are turning over service items for tens of thousands of guests.
What the work usually includes
- Scraping, rinsing, loading, and unloading dish machines.
- Washing pots, pans, sheet trays, utensils, and food-prep equipment.
- Keeping dish areas organized so cooks and servers can find what they need.
- Monitoring sanitizer, chemical levels, and safe water temperatures.
- Sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and cleaning prep surfaces.
- Moving supplies between storage, prep, dish, and service areas.
- Helping the kitchen reset after peak service.
The hardest part is usually the rush cycle. Items arrive in waves, and the dish area can become a bottleneck if the station falls behind. Good dishwashers create order quickly, keep wet floors safe, and communicate when a kitchen team is running out of a critical item.
What hiring teams look for
Prior dishwashing, prep, hotel banquet, cafeteria, or restaurant kitchen experience helps, but many employers train dependable entry-level applicants. The baseline expectations are reliability, stamina, willingness to clean thoroughly, and the ability to keep working without constant supervision.
Helpful traits include:
- Comfort lifting and carrying up to the limit listed in the official posting.
- Willingness to work in heat, steam, noise, and tight spaces.
- Attention to sanitation and cross-contamination rules.
- Team communication with cooks, stewards, runners, and supervisors.
- Availability for late event endings and post-event cleanup.
Before you apply
Read the official posting carefully for pay, benefits, shift length, union status if applicable, and whether the role is event-only, seasonal, or year-round. Then use the SoFi Stadium profile, Inglewood guide, and Legends Hospitality profile to understand the venue context before applying.
